A Gartner survey shows that 47% of digital workers struggle to find the necessary information to do their job effectively. The large volume of applications and information makes it difficult to manage knowledge and make decisions. One way to make the workplace more efficient is to use common apps and provide proactive IT support.
The average number of applications used by an employee in a digital organization has increased from six in 2019 to eleven in 2022. This is according to a survey conducted by IT analyst firm Gartner*. According to the survey, as many as 47% of so-called digital workers say they have difficulty finding the information they need to do their job.
When asked to suggest improvements to enhance the digital employee experience (DEX), the introduction of unified applications and a proactive IT department focused on solving problems before they arise are top of mind. Another way to improve the digital employee experience, according to respondents, is for IT to focus on building strong relationships within the business with sensitivity to how employees perceive technology-related changes.
